Richard H. Pearson was born in 1939, at Goathland in the heart of the North Yorks moors.
He attended Hull College of Art, and has specialised in watercolour paintings, particularly of his native county, the coast and moorland, of Yorkshire.
Richard has exhibited widely throughout a career spanning over 40 years, including the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, and prominent Yorkshire art galleries, including the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull; the Scarborough Art Gallery; the Pannet Art Gallery Whitby, and the Usher Gallery, Lincoln. His work is represented in private collections throughout the United Kingdom and around the world. As well as working in watercolour, Richard is an illustrator and cartoonist, contributing to various periodicals (including "Dalesman" magazine).
